it’s been far too long since an official radiohypno has graced the intertubes, and i do apologize for that. life often throws curve balls at which one is not always ready to swing, and sometimes, the ball just hits you. such has been the past few months. but no complaints,no excuses. so it goes. you’re here for the music, and we shallprovide.

this installment is not an episode of radiohypno, but a special release in conjunction with dj count zer0, currently operating out of new york city. we have performed together a couple times, and havebeen close friends for years, but this is the first joint project we’ve worked on for general release to the public.

taking cues from our shared affinity for all things falling on the soulful side of house and techno, we’ve assembled two mixes by two djs with a common theme. it’s not a tag team, but we had a lot of input on each other’s track selection (i got shot down on a couple…[shakes fist]) and even contributed unreleased music and edits for the other to work with. We had one goal, a singular artistic statement: we want you to move to this.

special thanks go to Shawn Rudiman for contributing an unreleased track to Frank’s half of the mix.

so i had a big long post, but wordpress puked when i went to save it, and i lost it. so you’ll get the short version:

happy respective holiday to all readers and listeners of radiohypno. thanks for making it a great year…well, 7 months (with extended breaks in between). my new year’s resolution is to get my butt on a more regimented schedule for new shows, and to take steps toward making it easier to produce the shows so that i can achieve that goal. that means FINALLY getting studiohypno organized and in working condition. that means getting a mac for the studio that STAYS there 24/7, so i can record at a moments’ notice…when the time is available and the inspiration grabs me by the….

with that…i give you the first annual radiohypno holiday extravaganza! thanks for a great 6+ months and get ready for 2008!

it’s been a long hiatus. i hope i haven’t lost the handful of listeners i gained over the last six months…if you’re still around, thanks! it’s good to be back.

i’m aiming for a new show each week in december. i’m serious! no guest dj’s until the new year. back to how i started this thing - me, picking good tunes late at night in the basement (aka studihypno). no developments there, by the way…the studio is still a mess, and barely functional. but it’s good enough to get some stuff done over the last few weeks. more on that later. (ahem…cough*newdjmix*cough*hack*wheeze….)
