after months of procrastination, after endless hours of configuration (still not done), after 43 arguments with my coworkers about movable type vs. wordpress, after days of deliberation on an appropriate design theme, after a few days of modifications to said theme to make it look a tad more unique and spiffy, and after chaining myself to the server while being whipped mercilessly by a sadist in a frilly pink tutu…
ladies and gentlemen, i give you…..KONG!
no, wait…i give you RADIOHYPNO! [insert lame ass trumpet fanfare here.]
i’ll be adding little doo-dads and trinkets here and there. i’ll be updating things as i learn to do them. (syndication to my livejournal is chief amongst these tasks. i have slacker friends who will forget to check in here daily, yet i still need their love, attention, and admiration…none of which i actually GET. i digress.)
i sense that some of you may be asking: “so, what’s all this then? ‘radiohypno’? i see no radio.”
radio is dead, my friends. dead as charles de gaulle. dead as justin guarini’s recording career.
the truth is that, in the age of the intartubes, YOU are your own radio. and it’s that sort of self-motivation that has prompted me to start radiohypno. i love making mixes for people. i love getting new mixes from all over god’s green earth. and the more incongruous the mix, the better! i want congolese finger-piano players next to krautrock. i want funkadelic mixed with johnny cash. i want nine inch nails pounded into the boards of canada and left on the pavement.
